Summer camps announced for Troy volleyball

The Troy University volleyball program and head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick announced the dates of their summer camps on Friday morning, beginning with the first camp on July 12 and ending with a Team Camp on July 23.

The Trojans will host five different camps in the month of July, with three of those camps based on individual position training, and the other two based on team camp functions.

The first camp is set for July 12 and will feature setters, with the hitters camp set for July 13 and the libero day camp set for July 14.  The cost of all three of those camps is $75.

Meanwhile, the first of two team camps will take place from July 18-20 with costs set aside for both commuters and residents.  The cost for commuters in the camp is $200, while those staying on campus will have a rate of $300.  The final camp - with the same costs - will take place July 21-23 and will be a team/individual camp.

Team camps will take place in four different facilities - Trojan Arena (which houses Trojans' volleyball and consists of one court), Troy Parks and Rec (located away from campus and has two courts, as well as a pool), Wright Hall Gym (has two courts and is located near the center of campus near the natatorium) and Troy Rec Gym (located across from sorority hill and has two courts).

For camps on campus, please make check payable to TROY volleyball camp and return with application, waiver and physical by appropriate deadline to: Sonny Kirkpatrick; Head Volleyball Coach; Troy University University Volleyball; Davis Fieldhouse; Troy, Ala. 36082.
