908th Reservists return from deployment

MAXWELL AFB, Ala. – At approximately 1 p.m. Saturday, two C-130 Hercules aircraft and approximately 50 Reservists from the 908th Airlift Wing will return to Maxwell from Muniz Air National Guard Base, San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they were deployed in support of Coronet Oak operations.

Coronet Oak is an all-Reserve and Guard operation, providing airlift support in Central and South America. Wing aircrew, maintenance and support personnel normally participate in two to three Coronet Oak rotations each year. The Reservists departed on March 5.

Coronet Oak deployments provide airlift to U.S. Embassies, and other government agencies throughout the region.
