MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The No. 22 Auburn University at Montgomery softball team recorded its first conference victory Tuesday, as it split a doubleheader at Faulkner on Thursday, winning the opener, 5-0, and falling in the nightcap, 5-4, on a walk-off home run.

As a result of the split, the Lady Senators now stand at 23-7 overall, but just 1-3 in Southern States Athletic Conference play. The Eagles are now 15-10 on the year, while also sporting a 1-3 record in league games.

In the nightcap, Faulkner's Erin Byrd hit a walk-off home run to give the Lady Eagles the one-run victory.

Freshman Courtney Baker pitched a complete game, giving up nine hits and five runs, while striking out two.
