MONTGOMERY, AL- The Alabama State baseball team will face in-state rival Alabama A&M in a three-game series in Huntsville this weekend. The doubleheader is set for noon on Saturday, with a single game Sunday at noon at Bulldog Field.
Alabama State (7-12, 1-7 SWAC) lost its three-game series in its stadium opener to Alcorn State last weekend. The Hornets dropped a doubleheader Saturday (6-0, 6-5) and a single game Sunday (4-1).
Jordan Mims leads the Hornets with a .317 batting average this season, and had three hits and two runs scored last week vs. Alcorn State.
Currently, ASU holds the fourth spot in the Eastern Division, ahead of Alabama A&M.
