No. 4 Lady Senators top No. 7 Brenau, 7-2

MONTGOMERY, AL. ---- The No. 4 Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team rebounded from a loss in its last match to breeze past No. 7 Brenau, 7-2, Thursday at the AUM Tennis Complex.

With the win, the Lady Senators improved to 15-5 on the season, while the Lady Tigers fell to 5-5 overall.

In doubles, the duo of junior Kveta Hajkova and freshman Jade Curtis gave AUM a 1-0 lead with an 8-2 win at the No. 2 spot, while the tandem of junior Ana Veselinovic and sophomore Morgane Zowczak won by the same score at the No. 1 position.

In singles play, Veselinovic, Curtis, Zowczak, Hajkova and sophomore Alina Tseplukhova all won in straight sets, with Zowczak and Tseplukhova battling back from a 6-5 first-set deficit.

The Lady Senators will return to action on Friday, when they host a pair of matches, first against Abilene Christian at 10 a.m., followed by Tennessee Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
