One Montgomery, the community organization that promotes racial harmony, sponsors community breakfasts each week at 7 a.m. in the 11th floor reception area of the Goode Building adjacent to Jackson Hospital.
An open discussion is held on the first Tuesday of each month. Speakers are invited to speak the other weeks of each month.
One Montgomery has an open door and extends invitations to join the organization after the guests attends two meetings.
The One Montgomery September speakers' schedule is:
January 28 – Dr. Keivan Deravi, Auburn, Montgomery economist and architect of the Alabama Economic Forecasting Model which is used to generate forecasts for the state's major economic variables.
February 4 – Open discussion by One Montgomery members who will discuss issues
February 11 - Zayne Smith JD, Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice Immigration Policy Fellow and Communications Coordinator, will discuss federal immigration issues.
February 18 – Zayne Smith, JD, of the Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice will continue to discuss immigration issues that impact Alabama.
February 25 – LaDonna Brendle, founding director of Reality and Truth Ministries will speak about providing food and clothes for the homeless.
