Lady senators stand firm at No. 4 in NAIA Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, MO. ------ The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team maintained its No. 4 ranking in the latest edition of the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll, which was released on Wednesday.

The Lady Senators, who currently stand at 17-5 on the season, earned 227 total points and are just 23 points out of the top spot in the poll, held by defending National Champion Fresno Pacific. Embry-Riddle held firm at the No. 2 position, as did Point Loma Nazarene at No. 3. Oklahoma Christian and Azusa Pacific, which were tied for fifth, rounded out the top five.

Nine conferences/independents/unaffiliated groupings are represented in the poll. The GSAC and Southern States Athletic Conference lead the way with six Top-25 squads each. The Sun Conference and the unaffiliated grouping of Cascade/Frontier/Midlands/Red River/Sooner each sport four teams in the rankings.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/independents/unaffiliated groupings. The next Top 25 poll will be announced on April 19.
