Auburn University will host the 2011 Southeastern Conference Women's Golf Tournament April 15-17 at the Auburn University Club. Eight SEC teams are ranked in the top 25 of the Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll, including Auburn at No. 20.
Auburn head coach Kim Evans and her team will be available to the media at 3 p.m., Monday to talk about the upcoming SEC Tournament and being the tournament's host. Coach Evans and the student-athletes will be at the Jack Key Golf Center on North Donahue Drive.
This marks the third time for Auburn to host the SEC Tournament with the others coming in 1981 and 1999. Evans was a senior on the team in 1981, finishing 24th individually with a tournament-total 239. Auburn finished fourth as a team that year.
