Severe Weather Could Move Through; The County Commission Saves Jobs

Hey all,

A move by the Montgomery County commission will save nearly a dozen jobs.  Today, the commission approved a little more than 100 thousand dollars to keep some court clerks working through October.  After that, it could be pink slips.

While many of you were sleeping this morning, Montgomery police were searching for the person responsible for a double shooting in the Southlawn Commons apartments.  Injuries were not life threatening.

Beginning this summer,  Montgomery Public School employees will only work four days a week but, with longer hours. The superintendent calling it good for parents and taxpayers.

And, severe weather could move through the state later today.  How could it affect your community?  Meteorologist Rich Thomas will have the answer.

Join us for these stories plus your weather and sports tonight at five and six on WSFA 12 News.

See ya tonight,

Valorie Lawson
