NORCROSS, Ga. - Auburn University at Montgomery junior pitcher Cody Hall has been voted the Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Hall earned the honor after tossing his third shutout of the season, in a five-hit complete game against Loyola in the finale of the three-game series.
In his lone outing of the week, Hall allowed just six base runners, only three of which reached scoring position. He also matched a season-high with nine strikeouts to improve to 5-3 on the season.
On the season, Hall sports a 3.20 earned run average in 59.0 innings pitched. He has thrown four complete games in 10 starts. Hall has struck out 48 hitters and has allowed opponents to hit just .241 against him. In SSAC play, he sports a 3-0 record with a 3.18 earned run average.
Hall and the No. 17 Senators will return to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Ozark, Ala., to take on Thomas University in a single game. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
