Strong storm line approaching

Monday - April 11, 2011

Looked outside lately?  Big gusts of wind are out there - in front of a strong line of storms making its way into our part of the state.  The line is not all that wide - which means it should be through here quickly - but not before dumping some heavy rain on us.

You can see the storm approaching on our LIVE radar...on the air, on line and on our app for your iPhone or Droid.  And on the phone you can animate and move the radar display with the touch of a finger!  It's really pretty cool.

While you watch the news and listen to the rain on the'll find out why the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Shakespeare Festival are pleased with the pattern of charitable giving in our city.  It's been a tough few years with the depressed economy, but tonight they say they're encouraged!

And, speaking of funds, if you were directly or indirectly impacted by the gulf oil spill, there's an important deadline you need to meet to have a shot at any financial compensation.  We've got all you need to know coming up at 10!

Plus, the Montgomery Biscuits racing the rain to get in the last of their five-game set with the Birmingham Barons in the books.  Did the Biscuits "rise" to the occasion? We'll have highlights in sports.

Stay inside and dry...see you at 10!
