Old Fashion Tea Cakes

2 cups of flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1/2 cup of softened butter (one stick)

1 cup of sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Sift flour and baking powder, set aside. Mix cream butter and sugar together then add eggs to creamed mixture stir in dry ingredients and add vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms (if dough is too soft, add a bit more flour) roll cookie dough out on a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased pan. Bake on 400 in preheated oven until golden brown (12-15 minutes)
