For the second time this season, Auburn University at Montgomery junior Cody Hall has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Hall, who was also selected SSAC Pitcher of the Week on April 11, earned the honor after tossing his third consecutive complete-game against No. 13 Brewton-Parker. In the outing, Hall struck out a career-high 15 to complete the Senators sweep over the Barons. He scattered five hits and walked just one to improve to 7-3 on the season.
Overall, Hall sports a 2.81 earned run average and has tossed six complete games, including three shutouts. He has struck out a team-high 74 in 77.0 innings pitched and has limited opponents to just a .227 batting average.
Hall and AUM will return to action on Friday, April 29, when they open the Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament against Shorter at 6 p.m. in Columbus, Ga.
