Divorced mother of two still missing

From the Columbus, GA Police Department:

The Family of Ms. Yamisha Brown-Thomas needs your help. On April 22, 2011 Ms. Brown-Thomas was last seen leaving her mother's home on Brandywine Drive in Columbus, GA. She was driving her red 2008 Chevy Avalanche with the license tag "YAMISHA". The Chevy Avalanche was found days later, abandoned on Highway 27/Hamilton Rd in Columbus, GA with no sign of Ms. Brown-Thomas.  The 30-year-old recently divorced mother of two is described as being an African-American woman, weighing about 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Authorities say that at the time of her disappearance, Ms. Brown-Thomas was embroiled in a custody battle with the father of one of her children. Authorities also state that she is a survivor of domestic violence at the hands of a former boyfriend, who served jail time in relation to the incident, but was subsequently released.

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Yamisha Brown-Thomas, please contact the Columbus Police Department at 706-653-3188 or call 706-577-3608. A reward is being offered and you do not have to give your name.

The Family of Ms. Yamisha Brown-Thomas is holding a Press Conference/Candlelight Vigil for their missing family member. The event will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 7pm to 8pm at Idle Hour Park's Moon Lake in Phenix City, AL. We are encouraging members of the public and all survivors of domestic abuse to attend.
