Montgomery Humane Society Offers Help for Pets in Disaster Areas

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - We're all concerned about how the people affected by the storms are coping, but a lot of people are also concerned about their pets.  There are hundreds, if not thousands of animals missing in Alabama. That's why the Montgomery Area Humane Society is offering its help. "We are on standby to see if we can help with those search and rescue efforts," said Montgomery Humane Society Director Steven Tears.

Tears says the shelter is ready to answer the call for help and open its doors to displaced pets. The shelter is also accepting donations. Tears says they could receive pets from the storm ravaged areas in the days and weeks ahead.
