Gov. Bentley to tour Elmore, Tallapoosa counties today

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Governor Robert Bentley's office says he will be in Elmore and Tallapoosa counties this afternoon in his continuing schedule to visit all areas affected by last week's tornadoes.

Seven people died in those two counties as the result of tornadoes.

The governor is expected to meet with local and state officials and will begin his tour around 12:30pm. Bentley will survey damage in Elmore County at the former site of Myer's Trailer Park in Eclectic.

Bentley will then travel to Tallapoosa County and visit the Pace's Point area of the county. His first stop will be at the Command Post which has been set up at Lake Martin Baptist Church, in Dadeville at approximately 3pm.
