Southside Middle School Teacher a Class Act

SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

If you can't find April O'Neal in the classroom, check the ball field or the gym.   The math teacher from Southside Middle School in Selma, Alabama is a real Class Act.   Ms. O'Neal has a lot of energy.   "I try to teach so its easy to understand,"  O'Neal said.  "I always smile, and the kids always say I never have a sour day."

Ms. O'Neal played softball at Alabama State.   She's been in the classroom for the last three years.  "I love the challenge and believe there isn't anything I can't overcome.  The kids are a challenge but I love it.  When you get to know them, they are softer than they seem."

Outside the classroom she coaches pretty much everything.   "Basketball, volleyball, and softball, I like them all."

Whether it's on the court or in the classroom, Ms. April O'Neal is a real Class Act.
