Florida Amber Alert issued; suspect possibly near Ozark

CHIPLEY, FL (WSFA) - Florida Police area asking for help in finding a man accused of abducting a Florida toddler - they believe he could be headed to Ozark, Ala.
The toddler, 18-month-old Waylan Alexander Snipes was reported abducted from a home at 552 2nd Street in Chipley, Florida. The suspect, William Anthony Snipes, was seen fleeing the area on foot with the child around 3:12 a.m. Police say the suspect then placed the child in a silver or gold Chevy S10 truck with Alabama license plate # 26A55B8 and was last seen traveling east on Old Bonifay Highway in Chipley.
Police believe the suspect may be headed back to his residence in Ozark, Ala. with the child and they are asking the public to be on the lookout.
Police are also searching in Holmes County, Florida where the suspect has family.
An Amber Alert has been issued to find the child. Authorities are asking that anyone who has seen or who has information on the whereabouts of William Anthony "Tony" Snipes, 36 year old white male, 6'4" in height, with brown hair and blue eyes or Waylan Alexander Snipes, 18 month old white male, 23 lbs, 24" in height, with brown hair contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.
