Vote held on 3 Selma schools' fate

The Selma City School Board voted on the fate of three schools Thursday evening.

In danger of being closed were Byrd Elementary, the School of Discovery and the Phoenix School (alternative program), but a close 3 to 2 vote saved all three facilities.

Superintendent Dr. Donald Jefferson had recommended all three schools be closed.
