No vote on AU trustee nominees this session

The President Pro-Tem of the Alabama State Senate says Governor Bentley's nominees for the Auburn Board of Trustees will not be voted on this session. Sen. Del Marsh says Dr. Bentley will have to re-submit the slate of candidates.  He goes on to say he's not happy with the degree of transparency in the governor's nomination process. (Remember the lawsuit challenging the process?)

In a special report, WSFA 12 News looks at legislation that would correct what some people say are unacceptable loopholes in the state's sex offender laws.  I hope you'll watch to hear one couple's remarkable story that I found hard to believe!

Three schools in Selma - considered for closing - will continue to operate.  That's the word from the school board meeting tonight.  We're in Selma for the story.

And, we'll have a sampling of the high-powered musical entertainment in tonight's CMT fundraiser concert to benefit Alabama tornado victims.  It was quite a show...and you can see it all again, tomorrow night at 6:30 on WSFA 12.2...check your listings for our digital channel.

All this - plus a forecast with scattered showers, and the latest on the University of Alabama football player found dead this morning in Florida.

Hope you'll make your plans to stay up, stay tuned and stay informed!

See you on the set at 10.

Bob H.
