Hundreds Turn Out To Vote Absentee For Montgomery Elections

It's hard to say how the voter turnout will be in Tuesday's mayoral election in Montgomery, but we do know how the absentee voting is going so far.

Montgomery city clerk Brenda Blalock says about 900 people have voted absentee since last Thursday.

Blalock says that's about average compared to past elections. If you're planning on voting by absentee ballot, you better hurry--Thursday is the last day.

Blalock explains the process.

"They come in. We have an application they fill out. We take that application and check it against the voters list to determine what one if they're still at the same address and what precinct they voted in," says Blalock.
