Camp Hill Murder, Tornado Toy Drive, and Gulf Coast Tourism

May 30, 2011

Good Morning! Happy Veterans Day!

Police in Camp Hill are looking for a murder suspect this morning after a shooting at a crowded nightclub ended with one man dead. James Authur Doss was shot at the club and then taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. More on the investigation on Today in Alabama.

Also this morning,   tourism officials are looking for strong numbers and big business this holiday weekend. By all indications, the beaches are bouncing back after a devastating 2010. We'll hear from business owners about the progress being made in getting people back to the beach.

Plus, the help continues to pour in for victims of last month's deadly tornadoes in North Alabama. There was a toy drive over the weekend. Organizers were expecting a good crowd, but even they were pleasantly surprised by the huge turnout. We'll take you to the very successful event.
