Kelly has taken the most rigorous course load possible at Saint James School. She has been a standout in the Visual Arts Department, winning numerous awards. Kelly is planning on taking her artistic talent to the University of Northern Iowa where she has been awarded a Visual Arts Scholarship, a Freshman Art Scholarship, and an Honors Scholarship among others.
