Prattville: July 4th parade theme

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Prattville is announcing the theme for its annual 4th of July parade.

The theme is "Salute to Honored Veterans, Heroes in our Hearts" and will include Region WWII Honor Flight Veterans who will serve as Grand Marshals in the parade.

The event is set for Monday, July 4th at 9:00am. It will begin at the Autauga County Courthouse and will end at the Stanley-Jensen Stadium.

Entry forms for the parade are due by June 25th at 5:00pm. and can be picked up at the Cultural Arts Center or located on the city website, There is no fee to enter. Children on bikes, tricycles, and scooters are also invited to participate in this event.

In addition to the parade, other activities such as the "Cardboard Boat Races" and the "Annual Lion's Club Bar-B-Q and Camp Stew Sale" will be held during the day. The annual fireworks works presentation will begin at 6 p.m. with live entertainment and a patriotic program. The fireworks will begin at dark.

Admission is free.
