GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

One of the men charged in the dragging death of a 16-year-old Glendale girl pleaded guilty to her death this week.

Lino Chavez, who went before a judge Wednesday morning, is being held on a charge of first-degree murder.

Chavez and Jose Solis Apodaca are accused in the death of Anita Munoz, who was a student at Glendale's Independence High School.

Police think the pair robbed Munoz of her laptop on March 30, 2011. After struggling with the girl, detectives think the suspects tried to drive away and the teen either fell or was pushed from a vehicle near 67th and Glendale Avenues.

She died on April 5, 2011 from injuries.

The other suspect, Apodaca, faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and trafficking in stolen property.
