HUNTSVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Alabama A&M University's policies are under review after a national accrediting agency found "significant noncompliance" of the school's rules.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is currently reviewing eight issues at the university. The agency said four of those eight issues result from a letter of inquiry filed in January. The other four were uncovered during an investigation that isn't expected to be resolved before December.
Alabama A&M's president, Andrew Hugine, told the Huntsville Times the school is cooperating with the agency and he sees a visit by the agency as an "opportunity for us to get it right."
