MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Board of Education has voted to move the Pace Alternative School Program to the old Hayneville Road School.
Board members voted unanimously to approve the move Wednesday night.
The board earlier in the year decided to close Hayneville Road School as part of its reduction in force plan.
Also at Wednesday's meeting, some discussions among board members got heated. The raised voices started when Board President Charlotte Meadows questioned changes to a personnel report.
Board member Mary Briers said the controversy was "grandstanding".
Meadows said she just has concerns after receiving 3 addendums to the report in one day.
