Troopers release name of man killed in Monday crash

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Alabama State Troopers are identifying the victim who was killed after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Lowndes County.

Gerald James Mosley, 40, of Montgomery was driving one of the two commercial vehicles involved in the crash that happened around 6:00am. The crash, between Letohatchee and Fort Deposit on Interstate 65 stopped southbound traffic for 6 hours.

Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second, simultaneous crash involving a car and van resulted in three injuries, though none were life-threatening. Their identities were not released.

State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash and say no additional information is being released at this time.
