MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - WCOV FOX20 and Dish Network say they've reached an agreement to restore the Montgomery Fox affiliate's signal to the satellite company's channel lineup.
The agreement ends a nearly 2 month long dispute between the companies that started over retransmission fee agreements.
When an agreement wasn't reached, Dish decided to remove WCOV from its line-up on May 2. WCOV blamed Dish for trying to squeeze locally-owned TV stations and hired former Alabama Attorney General Troy King to represent them.
Monday, both sides reached an agreement, though details of that agreement were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to have reached this agreement with Dish," says station owner, David Woods. "We are especially happy that our Dish viewers can once again watch WCOV in their homes through Dish. We thank everyone for their patience and support during the negotiation process."
