TUSCALOOSA, AL (WSFA) - University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban says two football players have been suspended indefinitely from the Crimson Tide football team.
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Keiwone Malone and sophomore defensive lineman Darrington Sentimore are the two players who are being punished.
Saban would only say Malone and Sentimore were suspended "for a violation of team rules and policy."
Also learned Tuesday, senior defensive back Robby Green, who sat out the 2010 season due to suspension, will not return to the team in 2011.
Malone is a redshirt freshman at UA. He was the first verbal commitment to the Tide's 2010 class. He was a four-star prospect and a member of the ESPNU 150 at 89th. Read more.
Sentimore played in 11 games and totaled nine tackles in 2010. Forced a fumble and registered four quarterback hurries. He was a four-star recruit in high school, a member of the Rivals250 and was rated Rivals.com's No. 13 defensive tackle. Read more.
