A Samson man faces felony charges after Geneva County sheriff's investigators arrested him on a charge he burglarized the county courthouse.

Chief Deputy Tony Helms says deputies arrested 35-year-old Al Hugo Davis Jr. and charged him with two counts of first-degree theft of property and two counts of second-degree burglary.

Helms says deputies charged Davis with the burglary of the Geneva County Courthouse, an offense Helms said happened the same time Davis escaped from a state prison work release program in Birmingham.
