Another city in our area bans saggy pants!

Hello on this steamy Monday night in July! Rich Thomas says we can expect most of the state to be hot and dry tomorrow....but he's not ruling out another round of pop-up showers like we enjoyed here in Montgomery this afternoon!

In Greenville, the city council voted to make it against the law to be "too baggy" when it comes to pants!  Fines for adults and juveniles were approved tonight.  The city also voted to pay $43,000 for a study to find out IF it's feasible to create a city school system rather than continue in the Butler County system.

This is one of those stories that's hard to write. An entire family - mom and dad and five kids - all killed when their private plane crashed on its way back from a family reunion in St. Louis.  The Tuetenberg family from Niceville - near Destin and Ft. Walton - died when their plane went down about two miles short of the Demopolis airport.  John Tuetenberg, the husband and father of the kids, was flying the plane.  We'll hear from stunned friends and family back home in Niceville.

On the stand and not backing down.  A former lobbyist for Country Crossing in Dothan, Jarrod Massey, told jurors how be offered bribes to state lawmakers to try and win support for pro-gambling legislation.  We'll have more on the names of the people he says were involved.

It's may be hard to find a hotel room in Montgomery this week. It's All Star Sports Week in Montgomery. Hundreds of athletes, coaches and family members have settled in for the competition which runs through the end of the week.  We'll have highlights from the first of those North/South showdowns.

Hope you'll join us tonight at 10!  I'll see you on the set...with Val, Derek and Rich, too.

Take care,

Bob H.

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
