WITH STATE SCHOOL BOARD SUPERINTENDENT DR. JOE MORTON RETIRING AUGUST 31ST...THE STATE BOARD HAS CHOSEN AN INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT. THE BOARD'S GENERAL COUNSEL - LARRY CRAVEN - WILL SERVE AS INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT STARTING SEPTEMBER 1ST. FIND OUT WHAT HIS PLANS ARE FOR ALABAMA'S SCHOOLS.

FORMER MONTGOMERY CITY COUNCILOR JOE REED ANNOUNCED ON TUESDAY... HE'S SUING THE CITY OVER IT'S CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT LINES. REED SAYS ACCORDING TO THE 2010 CENSUS THE DISTRICTS ARE NO LONGER EVENLY DIVIDED AND THERE SHOULD NOW BE MORE MAJORITY BLACK DISTRICTS.
