Church of the Holy Spirit breaks ground on education complex

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Church of the Holy Spirit broke ground today on a new education complex.
 
Archbishop of Mobile, Alabama Thomas J. Rodi conducted the official groundbreaking ceremony and a reception in the church's Parish Hall followed.

The first phase of the Holy Spirit Education complex will include a 26,000 square foot two-story building with 14 religious education classrooms and administrative office spaces. The complex will also be equipped with the infrastructure for roadways, parking, landscaping, and a future gymnasium.

The new facility will allow Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School to open a "Holy Spirit Campus" for Pre-K4 through sixth grade students in the 2012 through 2013 school year.

Raycom Media President and CEO Paul McTear as well as Jeff Rosser, Vice President of Raycom Media attended the ceremony.

The construction for phase one of the complex will begin within weeks of Saturday's groundbreaking ceremony.
