Alabama EMA: Lake Martin debris clean-up is finished

LAKE MARTIN, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama Emergency Management Agency reports that debris removal from both Lake Martin and Neely Henry Lake has been completed.

According to FEMA that means the Alabama debris removal mission is 90 percent complete. The agency warns that the small bit of debris clean-up that remains will go slower because most of what is left is on private property.

FEMA says it continues to work with the state and local governments to support the ongoing debris removal efforts of the state, including funding the federal share to remove debris at 75 percent of the cost.
