Bama women's volleyball team on television twice during 2011 campaign

With the announcement of the 2011 Southeastern Conference women's volleyball television schedule, the University of Alabama women's volleyball team will appear on the big screen twice during the upcoming season. Fox SportSouth will televise both matches featuring the Crimson Tide.

The first televised game for Alabama will have the Tide hosting the Florida Gators on Oct. 16, 2011. First serve for the match against the 2010 SEC Women's Volleyball Champions is slated for 1 p.m. (CT) from the newly renovated Foster Auditorium. Alabama's second televised match of the season will be Sunday, Nov. 6, when UA travels to South Carolina for a 12 p.m. (CT) match.

The Tide opens the 2011 campaign at home with the Hampton Inn Bama Bash on Aug. 26-27, from Foster Auditorium. Alabama opens the tournament against Alabama State on Friday with a 12 p.m. (CT) start. After Texas State and Alabama State play at 4 p.m., UA and Austin Peay wrap up the first day action with a 7 p.m. match.

Season Tickets for the 2011 season are on sale and can be purchased online at RollTide.com/tickets or by calling by contacting the UA Ticket Office at 205-348-2262 or toll free at 1-877-TIDETIX (843-3849). Full season ticket packages are $35.  Single game tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 22. Single game prices are $5 for adults, $3 for youths (18 and under) and free for UA students with their ACTion card.
