GOOD MORNING!

THE STATE OF TENNESSEE ISSUES AN AMBER ALERT WITH AN ALABAMA CONNECTION. TWO 3-YEAR-OLDS WERE LAST SEEN JULY 27TH. POLICE THINK THEIR MOTHER'S BOYFRIEND TOOK THEM AND MAY HAVE BROUGHT THE CHILDREN TO SOUTH ALABAMA ON MONDAY. WE'LL SHOW YOU THE PICTURES OF THE CHILDREN AND THE MAN WHO MAY HAVE THEM ON TODAY IN ALABAMA. MAYBE YOU CAN HELP FIND THEM AND GET THEM HOME SAFELY.

TODAY MARKS THE DEADLINE FOR THE DEBT CEILING IN WASHINGTON. LEADERS HAVE REACHED A BIPARTISAN DEAL TO KEEP THE UNITED STATES FROM DEFAULTING. IT PASSED THE HOUSE LAST NIGHT AND WILL GO TO THE SENATE TODAY. ON TODAY IN ALABAMA, WE'LL TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT WHETHER IT HAS A CHANCE OF CROSSING THE PRESIDENT'S DESK BEFORE TODAY'S DEADLINE.

THIS MORNING, SOME SCHOOLS ARE CELEBRATING WHILE OTHERS ARE COMING UP WITH A PLAN OF ACTION. ON MONDAY, SCHOOLS ACROSS THE STATE FOUND OUT IF THEY MADE "ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS" AS DEFINED BY THE FEDERAL "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" ACT. WE HAVE A LOOK AT HOW THE STATE DID AS A WHOLE COMING UP ON TODAY IN ALABAMA.

THOSE STORIES AND YOUR DOPPLER 12 STORMVISION FORECAST... STRAIGHT AHEAD ON TODAY IN ALABAMA, 5-7AM ON WSFA 12 NEWS!

SEE YOU SOON!
