Following the U.S. economy can make you a nervous wreck - especially if you keep close tabs on your investments, 401-k, or pension.  We just learned Standard & Poors has downgraded U.S. Treasuries from AAA to AA+.  It's never happened before.

The jury has the State House corruption case. A little before 4 p.m. the jurors left the courtroom to start deliberation.  Tomorrow they go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 1 - 5 and, starting Monday, 8 - 5 daily.  We're on the "verdict watch" for you.

River Region police are on the lookout for thieves that are targeting lawn equipment.  We'll tell you what investigators have learned.

The April twister postponed spring graduation at the University of Alabama.  Tonight the spring grads and other began the first of three ceremonies on campus in Tuscaloosa.

And, Jeff Jumper updates a 50/50 rain chance for tomorrow.

Have a great weekend...stay ACAYC..."as cool as you can"...and keep your smart phone handy in case there's verdict.  We'll send out breaking news bulletins ASAP.

See you on the set at 10!

Bob H.
