Mother accused of killing son appears in court

Ann Campbell, the woman accused of murdering one her sons and shooting another, was in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. The lead investigator in the case says the 15-year-old who was injured in the shooting told him he was asleep on the couch when he heard a sound and then heard his 11-year-old brother begging Campbell not to shoot him again. The investigators say the teen got off the couch and saw Campbell shoot his brother in the head killing him. The teen ran out of the door and his mother shot at him hitting him once.

The defense says two days before the shootings she was told by the family member she rented her home from that she was being evicted.

The case has been bound over to the grand jury. It will convene in late January.
