Alabama State Athletics says it's saddened to share news of the passing of a former football player. Travis Logan was killed in a motorcycle accident in Detroit, Mich. over the weekend.
Logan, 29, played defensive back for the Hornets from 2002-04 and was a member of ASU's 2004 SWAC Championship team.
Logan was the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the title game, making 13 tackles and one fumble recovery in the 40-35 victory over Southern.
In his final season as a Hornet, he led the team with 78 tackles, 2.0 sacks, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
ASU said it wanted to express its deepest condolences to Logan's family.
