Jury reaches verdict in federal gambling corruption trial

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The jury in the federal gambling corruption trial says it has reached verdicts against the nine defendants.

The verdicts will be announced shortly inside the federal courthouse in Montgomery.

Nine defendants, including two state senators and two former state senators, are accused of attempting to purchase votes for favorable gambling legislation before the Alabama legislature.
