Big turnout for free back-to-school hair cuts

"Cutting into the Future of the Kids" had the clippers going strong Sunday ay Golden Shears Barbershop as barbers gave out free haircuts.

Young boys and girls showed up in droves to head back to school in style.

Workers said it's a simple thing to take away the financial back to school burden for parents.

"It's very important for me because I love the kids and it's all about the kids and their futures. It's all about being able to help a child and uplift a family just with a haircut. It's amazing to me. So I look forward to participating in this every year we do it," event organizer Rodney Jessie said.

About 200 boys and girls received free cuts and styles.

There were also inflatable's, food, drinks and book bags given out at the event.
