Anyone who wants to view the trial of former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore can watch it on video tape. The state Supreme Court law library spent three thousand dollars to videotape the trial before the Court of the Judiciary. The tapes are available to the public.
The library's director, Tim Lewis, says the trial was a significant event in the state's history and needed to be recorded. Moore was removed from office on November 13 after the trial before the Court of the Judiciary.
Moore was tried for refusing to obey a federal court order to remove a monument to the Ten Commandments from the rotunda of the state judicial building. Dan Black Studios taped the trial from three angles with cameras set up in the balcony of the Supreme Court Courtroom.
