THE NEWS IS GOOD THIS MORNING FOR FOLKS IN BIRMINGHAM WHOSE POWER HAS BEEN OUT SINCE LAST WEEKEND! [ALABAMA POWER NOW SAYS A VAST MAJORITY OF CUSTOMERS WILL HAVE THEIR POWER BACK ON BY TONIGHT. BUT THE NEWS IS NOT SO GOOD FOR EVERYONE. WE'LL HAVE DETAILS ON TODAY IN ALABAMA.

PEOPLE ACROSS THE COUNTRY WILL PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS THIS WEEKEND TO COMMEMORATE THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11. IT'S PART OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE. FIND OUT WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE RIVER REGION TO MARK THE OCCASION...THIS MORNING ON TODAY IN ALABAMA.
