ABBEVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff's Dept. say they've arrested a man for trafficking marijuana.

The arrests happened around midnight Friday when deputies conducted a routine traffic stop on U.S. Highway 431 south near Industrial Park Road in Abbeville.

During the stop, deputies arrested 33-year-old Kerry Jermaine Lee of Dothan and charged him with a felony count of trafficking marijuana.

Bags of evidence were spread out across the hood of the patrol car for photographing. When weighed, deputies say the haul from Lee's vehicle tipped the scales at 14 pounds.

The man, traveling from Eufaula to Dothan, when he was stopped by deputies is currently in the Henry County Jail awaiting his initial appearance to determine his bond amount.
