Prattville man dies hours after crashing his car through storefront

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Prattville Police are investigating a man's mysterious death several hours after he crashed his car through the front wall of a local building.
The Prattville Police Department responded to an alarm call on Tuesday morning and found a 2003 Ford F-150 that had crashed through the front wall of the Big Ten Tire Store on East Main Street. The driver of the truck, 45-year-old Donald Ian Lee refused medical treatment. He was allowed to leave the scene. The building received extensive damage.
Around 6:00 Tuesday night paramedics were called to Lee's residence. He was transported to the Prattville Baptist Emergency room, then to Baptist South in Montgomery where he died around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
Lee's body has been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy. The Prattville Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Lee's death.
