THE STATE OF ALABAMA EXECUTED DERRICK MASON LAST NIGHT. HE WAS SENTENCED TO DIE FOR THE KILLING OF A HUNTSVILLE CONVENIENCE STORE CLERK DURING A 1994 ROBBERY. MASON IS THE 5TH ALABAMA PRISONER EXECUTED THIS YEAR.
