State lawmakers plan to redraw Alabama's congressional districts

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Public hearings to discuss redrawing Alabama's congressional districts are set to begin tomorrow.

State lawmakers are redrawing Alabama's 35 senate districts and 105 house districts. State lawmakers say this will better reflect population shifts over the years.

Leaders hope to pass the new maps during this legislative session which starts on February 7.
