Hello from the WSFA 12 Newsroom.

President George W. Bush spoke to a capacity crowd at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center tonight - hoping to raise $1-million for Faulkner University.  We were not allowed to record his speech - but we'll talk with people who heard it for their reaction.

A close call for the landmark building at Auburn University. The building next door to the classic Samford Hall on College Street - caught fire about 6 tonight.   The majority of the fire in Hargis Hall was confined to the second floor.  Smoke could be seen coming from the steeple atop the red brick building near Toomer's Corner.

The USS Montgomery will sail the seas in defense of the U.S. by the year 2015.  The Secretary of the Navy was here today for the announcement of the ship's naming.  She joins the USS Little Rock and USS Jackson under construction.  The Jackson and Montgomery will be built in the Austel shipyard in Mobile.

And, have you ever paid for an "unnecessary" repair to your car? At 10, we'll tell you when it's OK to say "whoa" to your mechanic.

Hope you'll join us.

I'll see you on the set.
