Sixth suspect in custody for Oak Park shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Almost two weeks after the crime the Montgomery Police Department has arrested another suspect in connection with the Oak Park Shooting in Montgomery.

The sixth suspect, 21-year-old Laddarin McCall, was arrested on Thursday after turning himself into members of the U.S. Marshal's Task Force.

McCall was charged with three counts of First-Degree Assault, a Class B Felony, and three counts of Second-Degree Assault which is a Class C Felony. He was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he is being held on $135,000 bond.

Five others, 21-year-old Marvin Nikia Gaston, 23-year-old Thadeuss Darnell Jones, 21-year-old Otis Rashad Jones, 19-year-old Sandriquez Hall and 20-year-old Quintell Tarrance were all arrested previously. Together the first five suspects face more than 30 Assault charges in addition to Attempted Murder charges.

The shooting, which happened on the evening of September 24, sent eight people to the hospital.

The Montgomery Police Department says their investigation into this incident is still continuing.
